I saw a post on another site where someone put two springs in the mag because the one thin one was not enough and solved all their feeding pronlems and the bullets hitting the edge of the chamber.

I have not tried it myself, but may order a few new mag springs and see if it works.

I saw that thread about Magazine springs also but what they did was buy two mags and take the spring out of one thereby leaving one mag not usable. I don't know if the magazine springs are sold seperately but that would be much cheaper than trashing a magazine - my stainless mags for the 17HMR/22WMR are about $25 each and the .22LR mags are about $20 each.

If you find a spring to be bought alone please let us know.

Check with the Savage parts dept. I'll bet they sell just the springs.
