hi guys new to guns bought my first rifle its a savage 7mm mag im looking for bipods that are compatible with the gun. this is the model i have 111FCXP3 its the scope gun combo. thanks

so do you hand load?
And get you a boyd's thumbhole stock you will love it $92.00
They only weigh 21/2 pounds.

As I read this, you've likely got a Tupeware stock ...... that will give you fits but your mileage might vary.

lol thank you i dont know what you mean by tupeware stock. and also what do you mean by if i handload? sorry im a newbie

tupper ware is the black plastic stock.
reload means do you remake you old fired shells new again
new primer new powder new bullet shoot it again.

Welcome, you've made a dandy pick for you first firearm. That 7mm Mag can do just about anything well.

IMHO - Harris is pretty much the industry standard for bipods.

Take you're time, enjoy yourself but always...Safety First !!

And they cost twice as much as caldwell's and not any better I have both brands.

Yep, me too. I can only speak on the Caldwell and the Harris models that I have, the Harris is of better quality.

But do I agree, I don't like the Harris price tag.

Believe its Shooters Ridge that makes a spin off copy of the Harris for less money. Made in China and uses metric fastners so interchangeability is an issue.

Harris bipods and most American made products use English measurement fasteners namely 8-32 & 10-32 machine screw sizes. The foreign made bipods use metric thread sizes like 4mm x .70 or 5mm x .80 or anyone of half dozen other sizes. Brownells markets a quick attach thumbscrew for the Harris bipod which works on those bipods but not the imports. Try forcing them and you ruin the threads in the bipod due too the softness.
