Hi...

Considering the above in 280 AI

It will eventually become a donor rifle undergoing a re-barrel & restock. Does anyone know the following:

1. Are the barrels are small (standard) or large shank?

2. What the action screw spacing is?

3. Savage mentions "NEW MODEL 110 DESIGN AND ERGONOMICS" in their marketing literature, anyone know what they're referencing here?

4. I read somewhere the threaded muzzle is 9/16x28 (dumb), can anyone verify this?

Any other insight would be appreciated.

I'm new to the Savage world. FWIW, my take is the "new design and ergonomics" the marketing material refers to are mainly the new Accustock.

I think they are referring to the Accu-fit stock, not the old Accu-Stock.

The modern center feed magazine short action stocks have a 4.40 screw spacing.
I can't remember what the spacing for the long action is.

It is very common for Savage to put 9/16 threads on their adjustable brakes.

Robinhood,

Thanks for helping an old man with an apparently failing memory.
