Axis 30/06 Mag Length?

Starting a new project, and need to know long is the inside of a axis 30/06 magazine?

Maximum cartridge length.

The savage axis and the 110 magazine are the same. If you need a magnum length magazine the 110 version may fit. I will let the axis guys confirm that.

I would view that as being very generous, and would more accurately recommend 3.40 to 3.45" as the maximum usable. When I measured that it was at the top of the magazine and the rear tab that has the fold to hold the rear of the mag in the rifle actually angles back slightly on that magazine.

The mag is just over 2.500" maybe 2.505", hard to measure.
But:
Now I have a choice. With my 405B, I can let a 300 X hang out two cannelures. Just cannot decide on how much free bore to use.
