I bought a new Boyds Stock, that is a poor fit. I installed the barreled action and the trigger won’t work. If I loosen the rear screw the trigger will work, if the safety in in the middle position when the bolt is worked. If the bolt is worked with the safety is off the sear won’t catch and the small trigger lever is stuck forward. I have tried everything to find what is binding with no success. Any thoughts on this is welcome.

This is fairly common. There have been many threads on this very thing and there are a few things that could cause it. Here is one such thread. http://www.savageshooters.com/showthread.php?15328-Tightening-rear-screw-on-Savage-10FCP-HSPrecision-stock

Read this and look at the things mentioned. It’s difficult for one of us to pinpoint as we can see your rifle. But if you have a mechanical aptitude, you should be able to check the items listed in that thread.

The rear end of the trigger (right where the return spring is) is bottoming out in the stock. This pushes it up and won't let it engage. Cut the inlet deeper with a dremel.

Have you installed pillars and bedded the action?

Did you torque tune the rear action screw?

If what you really want is less work and more shooting, there are better stock available. What model/caliber are you shooting?
