Tech advise please

Hey gang. I put a 22-250 sporter barrel on a 110 action for my 7 year old son. I figured he could change it to a bigger bullet as he grows. It shoots great but it wont reliably feed from the long magazine. I was wondering what the fix is for this issue. Thanks in advance .

Use a single shot magazine follower for a LA.......

Easy fix.....just not a repeater........

+1 on the single shot adaptor. A far easier fix than trying to get the shorter case to feed reliably in the long action.

And - just my personal opinion - young shooters that learn on single shots also learn to make that first shot count.

what are the problems getting a shorter case to feed reliably in
a long action?

and what are the fixes?

Shorter cases don't want to smoothly and reliably feed from the longer mag box feed lips. A spacer in the rear of the mag is needed. Requiring one to also modify/replace the mag follower.
