I want to talk about the muskets. I have seen them with and WITHOUT a dovetail on bottom of barrel about where the forearm cap would be. One was an 15xxxxx serial without, and both of mine are 16***** with the dovetail. Then I have seen another without which was later without. All examples had the metal retainer for the upper handguard, and the stepped Muzzle / correct buttplate and rack #..
