Hey all, great to find this forum. After some interesting experiences hunting in Alaska heavy brush with my Ruger #1 I decided to get a rifle that holds a few more rounds. Recently purchased a 116BH in .338 Win Mag. Putting on a Vortex 6.5 - 20X50 that should help me take some longer shots and hunt some different terrain. Interested in the experiences of others around scope mounting for this stout round and any peculiarities specific to the Savage rifles as I have primarily used Rugers, M77 and #1.
