View Full Version : New Savage 110 series, now I’m really confused. And a 10 Precision Carbine Accustock question.

Been doing some poking around and thinking about a doing a switch barrel since the new Oryx chassis’ are out.

So I'm looking at the Savage website and they’ve come out with a “new” rifle. So I have a look at one. It’s labeled 110 but has calibers listed from .223 to 300 Win Mag. That used to be two different action lengths. What gives?

Also, I seem to remember that the Accustock rifles, like the Precision Carbine, have something different about them, maybe the recoil lug? Anyway, can these be dropped into an aftermarket stock?

Or would I just be better off buying an action, aftermarket barrel and dropping it into the Oryx?

Thanks,
paul

Savage calls them just 110 actions now, with the model 12 separate. But look how many different configurations of the 110 there are now. They are using long, short & extra magnum action based on the caliber.

Yes, will still work with the Oryx. MDT came out with an affordable winner in the Oryx. Fits long or short actions & also top or bottom bolt release. Great thinking!

Rifles that come with the AccuStock have a different recoil lug that's shorter than those on non-AccuStock rifles.
