Hi Everybody, A few weekends ago I was out in western PA visting a friend and we went to a gun shop. I found a pre-accu-trigger in .243. I think its a model 11 or 10 really didnt look too close. Will this be good to build a 22-250 with a model 12 or after market barrel with. Also can I use a SSS trigger with it? And will it be easy to find a stock for it? thinking a Stackade P-dog.. I wish I looked at it closer. But over the few weeks I have been thinking about it. The price was only $150. My buddie has a hand gun he doesnt want and I said if he does a even trade I would give him the $200 he wants for the gun. I just dont want to buy it and it be something I cant work with.

Thanks, Pete

That would be a GREAT start. Your imagination is the limit! My competition BR rifle started life as a model 11 pre-accu-trigger, now it has a Krieger 6PPc barrel, a SSS evolution trigger at 2 oz, and a BR stock. It will shoot on par with my Bats. $200.00 is a steal, and at $150 you should be tared and feathered if you let that one go. The gun in 243 isn't bad either.

You should buy that in a heartbeat for $150. I bought a 110 in .270 with low round count and opened up the syn. stock and stuck my varmint contour .308 barrel in it. I paid almost double that for the .270 but not quite and thought I got a good deal.

And I have 2 factory 12 22-250 barrels now and are great shooters screwed one on my sons Stevens and one on my 12BVSS.

$150? Thats the deal of the year right there. I thought I had it with my Stevens 200 SF with a new Duramaxx and new 250 Savage A&B Barrel and new Leupold mounts and rings I picked up for $200. You might have me beat there. :D

Thanks Guys, Before you think im crazy for not walking out of there with it let me explan. Although I was in western PA and saw two people walk out with new handguns in like 20 minutes. I live in the Great state of New Jersey. Having a drivers license is not good enough. I would of had to have the rifile shipped to a FFL. which is no problem. Problem is you also need a firearms ID card. Which I have had since I was 18 I am now almost 40. Problem is I moved last year when i got married. Guess what the address on the ID card has to match. which i dont understand because the dealer still calls tha State Police to run a check. The last time i moved within the same town in took 8 months to get my new card and alot of phone calls. Now each town is different I know guys that put in for a form to buy a handgun and got it back in a week. Were I lived it takes 3 to 6 months. So we are selling our house and dont know how long it would take to change the address this time..
I already passed on a 111 in .270 for $325 that I would use to build a 338/06.. My friend said he would go to the gun shop next weekend and c if its still there.. Then hold it till I get my ID and ship to an FFL...
So yes its a great deal if you dont live in NJ... >:(
