Hey guys, I'm gonna bed a rifle for the first time. It's a Savage 110E, in 7mm Rem Mag, shoots decent but I want a little more (also reloading for it). I was wondering it anyone has any tips on how to do it... if u can attach pics it be awesome.
I know the tang area is supposed to float, but not sure if anything else needs to be left untouched.
Thanks!

There's a wealth of bedding information on this site if you become a paid member, best $12/year you'll ever spend.

i was gonna bed my 11FCNS but when i took a look at the inside of the stock it was harder or just different than what i had imagined. i was just planning on bedding the recoil lug and on other rifles the lug is loosely sandwiched in between two plastic pillars. which you fill with epoxy and put the lug in and it willmold. my Savage only has one piece the lug recoils back into and i would have to build a dam to keep the epoxy in. heres a sequence of you tube video that someone did that will give you an idea of whats involved. this is just one way of doing it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ATbfY2pLrVU

Thanks for the info. My savage is a wooden stock, so there are no pillars... I'm gonna pay a susbscription to the articles area and check out other people's experiences...
thanks for the video though! it is always nice to see what other people have done.
