There are several YouTube vids out there that I've seen. I once put my .270 bolt together with the extractor facing the wrong direction. Shot a coyote from deer stand and realized instantly what I'd done when I pulled the bolt back
Easy fix though. I now pull up those vids every time just to make sure I get it reassembled correctly.

What is it you are confused about with it? Savage was smart & went with a floating bolt head.

That's because you have a 1 piece firing pin. The 3 piece spring arrangement holds the cocking piece pin in place. It's nothing new... it first surfaced on the Edge/Axis in 2009, then on the other bottom end 10/110 rifles in 2011.

I posted about the one I saw about a year ago. Two small springs with a washer or something like that back by the BAS. Much smoother cocking but in some way cheaper feeling. Much simpler. Unless you get the springs all turned around I cant see a need for a guide though. Glad you got yours back together. It took me a minute to get it figured out.

Ahhh, I never knew they put those in the 10/110 rifles. Thought they were just in the Axis.
