Does anyone know how to install this? I bought one for my 12 fv short action. It came with no instructions. Before I get creative I thought I had better ask for help.

Do I pull the box and spring. If I do, it falls out the bottom. I am sure there is something simple, I just don't know what it is.... I do want to be able to go back to my internal box later.

Any help would be appreciated. thanks rc

Are you using one for a staggerfeed or the centerfeed one that SSS makes?

For the one they make you have to pull out the magbox and follower, but you can always put it back in later if you wanna use it. Heres a review I did a while back that shows how to do it:

If it is the one for a staggerfeed you install it on top of the factory follower, so you do not remove anything.

Mine is the straight feed so I have to use the SSS ramp.

The ramp fits into the receiver fine, but, when I turn the receiver over the ramp falls back out into the empty feed box.

I think I have it now, by putting the little magazine locking clip back and running the receiver bolt through the retaining clip. The clip seems to hold the ramp in place (doesn't fall into the empty mag box cut out in the stock).

Again, what am I doing wrong. thanks rc

You got it. I think I even mentioned it in the article. You have to put the magazine tab back in place because that is what the action will sit on when tightened up. The rear part of the SSS follower also sits on the tab.

Just be sure to put the tab in with a dab of glue or something to hold it in place. It makes it much easier, and assures it will stay put.

Thanks Pdog. I went back and looked and you had the need for the tab addressed in the first paragraph. I missed it.

The ramp is very well made and fits perfectly. Functions well in the work room. Next stop, to the range.

thanks rc

Final from me on the SSS feed ramp. Flawless on the range. I may put in a drop of locktight blue, but, what an improvement for those trying to single feed a centerline action. Thanks to SharpShooters for a problem solved. rc
