Model 23C bolt action magazine question ?

I recently aquired a nice Model 23C in 32/20 caliber. Test fired it last week , it has possibilities.

Question: Do the later style magazines fit the old type rifles ? Mine is an older one with the "cheese grater" type magazine. Have seen the non "cheese grater" types marked Model 23C for sale much cheaper than the old style which seem to fetch about $100 these days.
