Anybody have an luck with factory ammo shooting sub MOA groups with the MSR 10 Hunter out-of-the-box? I have tried 10 factory loads, and most between 1.5" & 2" @ 100 yards, off a bi-pod and concrete bench.

I had one 5-shot group of .689" from the Winchester 125gr, XP Deer Season factory ammo. This will be plenty good for what I need IF it will consistently shoot those kind of groups. However, this same round from the same gun gave me a 2.6" group the week before.

The other top contenders: the Hornady ELDX 143 gr, and the Hornady 140 gr Black BTHP which both had multiple 5-shot groups at 1.5"-2".

The Hornady ELDX 143 gr also had a .60" 3-shot group but wouldn't hold that for a 5-shot group.

Gun's still new and I'm still getting comfortable with it. Anybody discovered a factory round that your 6.5 Creedmoor MSR 10 Hunter likes?

Is your scope proven on another rifle? Have you torqued all of your screws? How many lbs is your trigger pull? What is your shooting experience? Is it you?...is it your setup?.....or is it the rifle?

I have a 6.5 creed in a savage Ashburry bolt gun. I shoot Norma match 130 grain hpbt . I get 1/2 " or better groups consistently . The ammo on mid south is about 22.00 a box . Best part is you get expensive Norma brass when you are done re load or sell it . At least you can eliminate one variable in the equation. If you get .50 cents a piece that's 10 bucks a box off price . At that price its a minimal investment .
