Please permit me to inquire about the M-430 shotguns, I had a 16 gauge that I was very fond of but let it get away thinking I would be able to find another, not so. Have seen only one other for sale in 12 gauge but was more inclined to the smaller gauges so I did not acquire it. Never see them any more so I suppose those who have them do not part with them. I seem to recall that there was also a M-440 produced but cannot remember much about them. Share what you will if you are familiar, please and thank you!

I own a 430 in 20 ga, still looking for one in 12. The 430 had a checkered stock and the model 420 did not.

The 440 wasn't realated to the 420's or 430's. The 330, 333, and 440 were Westfield made O/U's unlike the 430's made way back in the Utica days. In fact, I think the 440's were made by Valmet for Savage so they really didn't even come out of the Savage factory.

The 440's and 444 were made by FABARMS in Brescia, Italy from 1968-72

The various 330's and 333's were made by Valmet in Finland from 1969-78

I found a guy selling a 440 about 2 months ago but the pics he sent me didn't have anything stamped
Savage on them, just Fabarm. I let it pass.
