Can anyone confirm if this new rifle is built on a standard long action receiver?
If so, why... and why no LA calibers?
TIA

All short-action calibers built on short-action receivers. Savage went back to using the original "110" designation for all new models last year whether they're chambered for short or long action cartridges. Think Rem 700 or Winchester Model 70 - no difference in name whether it's long or shot.

So this rifle should have a screw spacing of 4.400"?

That would be correct. Not sure why it would matter though as this isn't a rifle you're going to buy and start swapping stuff out on to customize it - unless you like spending $1500 on a rifle just to instantly devalue it by 2/3 by altering it.

Nope, other way around...if I came across a used anniversary stock. ;)

Wait a couple years and keep an eye on Numrich's. Savage has any left-overs that's who they will sell them to - just like they did the Euro Classic and Classic stocks a few years back.
