Hello,
Im a new shooter of Savage from Alberta Canada. Just purchased a B17 FV with a 8-32x50mm and just love it! I am mid-thirties and have a family and shoot for fun at the range. Looking forward to learning more about my new Savage and having fun with it :)

Welcome to the forum, we are glad to have you as part of the Savageshootes family. Seeing as you are new to shooting I would be interested in knowing how you came to chose both the .17 cal and the FV and what other guns you looked at. I find the .17 kind of an intriguing cartridge and I am impressed with number of guns out there that would really make great shooters for a reasonable price.

Shooting and family go well together. My brother is instructor at indoor range in New Hampshire. When we have visited there for Christmas we have always spent Christmas Eve shooting at the range. It was closed to the general public and it kind of became a tradition that I have really fond memories of.
