Go to a free image hosting web site such as imgbb.com. This tutorial is based on that site and its features. Each one may have a slightly different process.

Drag and drop the picture(s) that you want to share onto the imgbb web page.

Once the image is ready to upload, click the big green upload button.

From the drop down menu, select “BBCode full linked”, then click the copy button.

Go to the forum and in your post, paste the BBCode.

Now you should see the code in the forum post.

And there you go. A picture posted for free.

Imgur is another option for hosting images, but cannot be used for retail sales per terms of agreement.

Photobucket has reverted back to their old ways and offer free hosting again. They do place a "PhotoBucket" watermark on all images hosted for free though.

Update: Looks like Photobucket is now also blurring the image when shared on another site.

Thanks. This is a big help to older folks like me who are less tech savvy. Although I read new post on this site almost every day, l found myself doing less replying due to the trouble I and others were having with posting pictures. We all like to show off our Savage rifles and latest fixes or problems using pictures. And nothing is as good as a picture when trying to sell something in the classified section.

That requires storage. This sight is run like your operation, on a budget. Sometimes you can use your web mail provider to store your photos then copy and paste.
