New powder for 308

Have to change my powder, beacause Varget is no more available in Europe.

Now
Varger 42,8gr
Lapua case
Lapua Scenar 167gr
Coal 71,12mm
Speed 835m/s
Savage 10, 308, 1:10

Great for 600m.

Have to find new powder available in Europe.

Please, Recomend me new recipe.

Change bullet? Bullet weight?
Powder RS52?

Would like to try Sierra 168 TMK, but the ogive is to steep in comparasion with Scenar. My magazine accept 71,12 but with TMK I have very very long jump.

That seems like a high velocity for only 42.8 grains of Varget. There are a ton of choices for 308...any IMR 4064 out there?

Is Alliant powder available there?
I've had really good luck with Power Pro 2000MR in .308. Excellent velocity and accuracy.

So yes, the TMKs are really long and skinny and might not be the best choice if you are going to load to mag length. The GameChangers load even longer than the TMKs.

I have never used any Viht powder but it looks like N550 would be a good choice...

We run 43.8 Gr or 4064 over a 178 Gr ELD-M loaded at 2.812. It is giving her an average FPS of 2719 with and ES of 8 and a SD of 5. It's being shot out of her PRS rifle which is a Savage 10FCP-SR

I was shooting 4064 in mine, and was getting great results... At long ranges, the temperature sensitivity was causing issues with drop from day to day. I switched to H4895 and am very happy!

This load combination had been around a long time and has been superb in a lot of .308 platforms. Never used the 178 ELD but in every .308 I have loaded for IMR 4064 and 175 SMK's were outstanding.
