we have a savage mk ii fv-sr that my wife uses as a short range prs trainer. Now from day one of owning that rifle
we have absolutely loved it, except for the magazines. We have had 4 of them (every one we own) start to come apart at the pinch welds and then the mag won't hold any rounds. I have called savage and they sent me replacements (3) and all of them eventually did the same thing.
I am wondering if A. any of y'all have had similar problems and B. Is there a source for aftermarket 22LR mags?

With almost 10k rounds thru my FV-SR, I have had no issues with my 10 round mags. I did have some feed issues with the factory 5 round mag but squeezing in the lips solved that. I have not had one come apart.

Are you pushing the rounds straight down past the lips, or are you starting in the middle and sliding the round back under the lips?
