Hello, I am happy to be here! I love the direction Savage rifles have taken and intend to take advantage, but there is more to this story. I am dreaming of possessing a one ragged hole rifle that shoots better than I do. One month ago I walked to a gun counter to purchase a Savage model 10 BA Stealth 6.5 Creedmoor only to learn it had been sold the day before. Disappointed, you bet. However, silver linings and such, I chanced upon the 6.5 PRC and decided to go in that direction. Now, I am in search of a Savage action that can handle the .375 Ruger case that the PRC is based upon, and I have questions, like what volt face do I need for the PRC cartridge? Shilen sells a select match 6.5 PRC barrel in the Savage configuration so I need to find the correct action for this build. If anyone wants to put their 2 cents in, I would much appreciate it, and thanks for letting me be here, I have already learned a lot from being here!

Welcome ,
Sorry I'm not familiar enough with the .375 or PRC to answer your question but wanted to wish you a welcome here.
You may get a better response on your build if the questions are posted in one of the more specific forums like the centerfire rifle forum in the 110 section. That's where someone with similar interest in the same type setup may be more likely to see your question if you use a descriptive title for your post.
Good luck

Welcome to the site!

Savage offers factory rifles chambered in .375 Ruger, so the best option would be to just start with one of those and then you don't need to worry about changing anything but the barrel.

Thank you for the welcomes, I found a site with Savage actions and Shilen barrels ! I’ll be going in that direction and “yes” Shilen will chamber their barrel in 6.5 PRC! Onward!
