Just wanting to know if savage makes a bolt head (.532) for the SA bolt because I want to build a 6.5 PRC, I know the LA MAG bolt head is (.532) I currently have the .308 model 10 FCP and I know I will have to modify the bottom metal and clip, but I will be able to single feed it in the mean time, any guidance is appreciated, thanks

You can look for any WSM action. They are short action with a magnum bolt head.

Just remember that your WSM actions are usually large shank.

the 300wsm bolthead will work in the Model 10 and the axis. The wsm magazine will work with some adjustment on the feed lips. The 300 WM bolt will not work on a short action. The older stagger feed wsm bolt head needs the standing ejector, the center feed action does not have a provision for the standing ejector so that will not work.

Best bet is to acquire a center feed Short action WSM bolt head.

If you are good with a grinder you can grind the nose of you 300 wm to the same length of a short action BH.

These articles graciously posted by J. Baker may help.
