I am setting up an older 110 7rem mag for a friend with a new scope and zeroing it. It was misty at the range so I wanted to take the stock off and clean so it wouldn't rust from the moist conditions.
The front receiver screw only goes into the action just a few turns before it gets tight. It shot well and it is deeper than before I had it out of the stock as it was only finger tight(or looser). It sucked up tight but I would only estimate it has about 2-3 full threads. Is that normal on a 110 with a Syn stock or should I get him a longer screw or drill the hole a little so it can grab more thread?
