Barrel interchange - Savage 720 and Remington 11

I'm a new member to this forum and hoping to obtain some information. A friend recently purchased a 12 gauge Remington Model 11 without a barrel and has had no luck finding a Remington barrel. Will a 12 gauge barrel from a Savage 720 interchange with the Remington 11? Any information will be appreciated.

Yes, they were all based on the A-5 action so it should work fine.

Thank you for your assistance. I don't know if a 700 series barrel will be any easier to find than a Model 11, but it gives him an option.

Not sure how old his list is but he shows barrel for the M11 in stock.
Look under Rem Misc.

We located a Savage 720 barrel locally and it fit into the Model 11, however the Savage ejector is a different configuration than the Remington and will not allow the bolt to return to locked position. Thanks for the help provided on this forum.
