My New Savage 110 Desert Tactical

I have never owned a Savage rifle till today! I went and traded in my RPR for a Savage 110 Desert Tactical in 6.5 Creedmoor. I kept my scope off of my RPR which is a Vortex Viper PST Gen II 5-25x50. Hopefully this will be a match made in heaven!

I'd love to hear how it does for you. I am getting real close to finishing my load development on a 6mm Creedmoor Desert Tactical.

I have about 100 rounds through my 110 Tactical 6.5 and I love the rifle. But 6.5 doesn't perform (long range drop and knock down power on deer) as well as my Savage 110 .260 Remington A.I. at 1000 yards in early long range testing. Waiting for it to quit raining so I can test some more loads. I'm also thinking about getting the Tactical re-chambered to a .260 A.I. if I can't find a load that will perform in it.
