As the title says, I've inherited a left hand model 110 BL series J in 30-06. I looked up the serial number (C183XXX) and it's a 1976 model that looks like new. What I can't find any info on is what the BL stands for or the series J. Any info would be appreciated.

This was a new model for 1976 and was the second to cheapest Model 110 (the 110E Economy being the cheapest).

Per the 1976 catalog:


The 110B and 110BL (L for left-hand) has all the famous 110 features, but with internal magazine. This model has all the proven virtues of the 110, including the Satinslide bolt.
Calibers: .30-06 Spfld, .270 Win. and .243 Win.
