I am here to read and learn a few things. My interests are hunting and reloading. I have built a couple bolt guns and a few others over the years but I am by no means a machinist or a gunsmith. I don't have much experience with Savage rifles. I did have a couple of 99's back in the 70's. Around 1991 my wife bought a raffle ticket and won a Savage 110 in 300 win mag. Having three rifles in 300 win mags already, I packed the barreled action in grease and put it in storage along with some of my other "future projects". Somewhere in the move from Alaska I misplaced the stock. Recently I found the barreled action and figured it was time to make it into something useful for one of my grandchildren. That's what brought me to this site.
