I have just recently found your site because of trying to look up information on two vintage (actually three now) Savage rifles I recently bought. I first bought a Savage model 1920 (made in 1923 according to serial number. And them a Savage model 99 with a question on year and model exactly but serial number indicates 1954. However, Thank you "Mad Dog" from your article on 'What Model 99 Do I Have'? it looks like it could be 1953. If someone could help me find the way to post I could explain more and maybe get some answers. I am not yet 100 be on this side of three quarters of 100. I have been a shooting since about age 10 and got my first firearm at that age. I spent 4 years and three months in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman then a corperate career for 30 years and the rancher for nearly 20 years until my body would not let me do it anymore. I do not see a place to make a post in the Forum.
