Hey folks,

Just got back from tuning up the rifles at the range. My wife is struggling with throwing the bolt on her .223 axis at the same time I would like to throw a tactical bolt handle on my .308 edge/axis rifle.

It is my understanding the Savage part number 108188 that fits the Model 10/110 rifles will also fit the Axis/Edge rifles.

Has anybody done this? Are there clearance issue with the scope?

I really like the knurling on that knob.

Also for those interested....I put the M-Carbo trigger kits in the rifle and they performed well.
For the .223 I used they American Eagle .223 55 Grain round and shot several 3/4" groups at 100 yards. Pretty awesome for bulk ammo
Best accuracy for the .308 came from Wolf 145 Military classic with the last 2 groups coming in at 1.25"

Tula shot all over the place thus I'll use this for guests when they come over. Almost 4" groups with those...same conditions.

Nope...the 10 bolt handle won't provide primary extraction on the Axis. Do some google searches...

You can grind off the Axis knob, thread the stem and add a bigger knob...does wonders.

I installed tactical bolt on my Avis 270 Win, simple installations, and have gotten lot comments at the range, and makes the bolt slide nicely.

As noted, with a 110-series bolt handle you won't have any primary extraction. Aside from customizing your existing one, these are the only aftermarket one's I"m aware of.
