I recently inherited a Savage 111 in .30-06. I know there are many sources for aftermarket barrels, but does anyone know if Savage ever chambered their 110/111 rifles in .280 Remington? Thanks.

If so, I would like to find a factory take-off in this chambering. You can email me at mtsetterdad@gmail.com or text/call 406-381-3672. Thanks.

280 Ackley is current, I am not sure but I think 280 was. Good luck trying to find one.

I saw a recent post regarding this same question, it stated 280 Rem was never a clambering, 280AI only.

Check with Criterion, they should be able to supply you with a 280 barrel in either chrome moly or stainless and any length you'd like.

Check out Northland Shooters Supply. They market Criterion and Shilen. if you go wthn 270 Win however there isn't $0.05 worth of difference and 270W barrels are readily available. My $0.02 worth.
