116 Action Question

Hey everyone,

New to the forum, so hopefully this one hasn't been addressed already.

I'm planning to build a 300wm and it seems all I can find for an action available is the 116 from NSS.

My questions:
1.) Does anyone have any experience with this action? It should be the same as a 110, but stainless finish right? 2.) Has anyone used this action with a HS Precision stock (PST129)? Does everything fit up alright?
3.) Will the AccurateMag bottom metal work ok with this?

When looking at matching an action with a stock you should consider top or bottom bolt release. Top release has been the standard for most builds. the bottom release looks cleaner but restricts magazine and stock selections. The 116 actions match up well with stainless barrels. Otherwise the HS stock and the 116 are a great match. Make sure you get the long action version. There are other good options out there besides the HS.

Thanks for the reply Robinhood! The 116 I was looking at has the top bolt release, which is what I was after due to stock options.

What other stocks would you recommend looking at?
