Hello guys - question here about firing pin and the new 110. I bought one in 6mm Creedmoor and wondering if anyone would see there being issues with buying small primer pocket brass, or if i should stick with large primer pockets. Wondering if anyone has tried the 6 or 6.5 CM with small primer pockets and these factory rifles?

Thanks

Small pocket brass can withstand higher pressures a bit better than the LRP brass. Small primer pocket brass also has a smaller flash hole, IIRC, .065" versus .080" for LRP brass but that's about the only difference.

If you plan on pushing your loads to the maximum go small primer. Otherwise it is a toss-up. Alpha large primer shoots as good as Lapua small rifle in my opinion. With Lapua the SR flash hole is 1.5 mm or .059 and requires a special or modified decaping pin. You could drill it out but that would defeat the design purpose

Will be a coyote calling rifle, don't see any need to push the max too hard. Maybe I will give alpha a try. Thank you guys

I'm using the Peterson SP brass with no problem in my Savage 6mm Creedmoor Desert Tactical.
