Lost a rear action screw on my savage axis. Are they the same screw as other models or where to get on or a set.

Do yourself a favor and upgrade to some Grade 8 1/4-28 1.5" cap screws. Will be 3/8" drive instead of 5/32" and feels more secure when torquing them down. Take it all the way and get some shorter ones for the front screw as well. I have swapped all the action screws out on my Savages for these...

Agreed. The upgrade is nice but they protrude from the bottom of the stock.

Get a button head cap screw. Maybe it won’t protrude.

Use Allen head cap screws.

Thanks guys now that I know it is a 1/4-28 x 1.5” screw I am going to a local fastenal shop and pick up what I need.

They stick out past the stock. See above post
