ashbury 6.5 creed $859.00

just bought a savage ashbury 6.5 creed 859.00 . I cant see how I could go wrong. Swap out the cheap butt stock . looking at luth ar gen 3 . Blue printed action fluted barrel ect... This rifle was msrp 2000.00 not that long ago. brand new buds gun shop. I also saw the same gun there for about 100 more. slightly different stock number . is there a gen 1 than 2 or something is there a difference . also I assume small shank on barrel ?

How do you like your rifle? What scope, base, rings, etc. did you go with?

I made the same decision. For the price, figured can't go wrong. I put the MBA-3 on, and I like it. Bushnell Elite Tactical G2DMR and vortex high rings. Need the high rings to clear the handguard, which makes the stock even more necessary. So far I really like it, though it is heavy. It would be nice if APO made different style handguards available. As far as I can tell, it is easily removable, but the APO website doesn't seem to offer any options.

So far so good. Waiting on warmer weather and my suppressor to really try it out.
