Retumbo will be your best friend with 300's. Start in the low 90's, and work up .5 with three shot groups. You will know when your close.

Mine loves 300 grain bullets .050 "OFF" The lands. If you put them closer to the lands, lower your charge first. FYI, the same advice I was given several years ago, and they were right!

I also love shooting 168's Barnes Triple Shock (solid copper bullet) with a healthy charge, 4,200 fps plus. My 22-250 on steroids.

My 110BA loves Hornady 285gr over 93-94gr of Retumbo, .010 off the lands. Start low and work up.

That's almost exactly the charge I use with 285's, and less for 300's!

You should be producing some pretty good groups with your load?

Yes! One of the best rifles and loads I have. @100yds its 1/4 MOA and holds under 1MOA past 1000

This is my target picture shooting my 338 Edge, 300 yards, with 300 grain Lapua Scenars. I use a 28" barrel with a 9 twist.

The Quarter will completely cover all three holes. I have shot it past 600 yards with "extreme" accuracy! Unbelievable results while on hunting trips!

For fun, I shoot "Barnes Trippel Shocks" 168 grain with a load over 100 grains +, FPS = 4,200 + range, and all I can state is first, Recoil is minimal, I can shoot these loads all day long if I wanted, and I actually feel sorry for anything these "Solid Copper" bullets hits at these speeds! I call this it my 22-250 "Steroid" rifle!

With the 300 grain Scenars, my shoulder can only take about 14 or 15 rounds, then I have to put it down. I have loaned this rifle to a few friends who knew me well, and knows what the rifle will do. They love it for long range shooting, and fight over who is going to shoot it during the hunt! They state 500 yards putting the cross hairs level with the backbone, and it's dead on the right area of the target! And the "target" never moves! All I wanted in return was pictures! They state they will only make a chest/heart shot using this rifle. The know if it hits the shoulder area or hind area, that's all wasted "goods".

It's amazing with this large of a caliber, and bullet weight, just how much difference a few grains of powder will make. Picture shows the difference clearly.

What's funny is if I am one someone's property and they know rifles, they don't let 338 Lapua's or 50 BMG's on the property. I tell them I have a 338 Edge, and their fine with it! I just make sure what's in the background which is usually a ridge or hill, I never shoot into an area full of trees.

I am thinking of building another one, but heavier so maybe the recoil won't be as bad. Plus put on one of the "Fat B******" muzzle breaks on it. Everyone has told me it's would be the best for the 338 Edge or Lapua!

And I give my load away. I don't recommend anyone trying this load. Always start with a lower amount of powder and work up. My rifle likes the Scenars .050 off the lands. The closer you get to the lands, the more chamber pressure there is.

I have a 112 Magnum Target and love it. Still working on a load though. I'm trying Reloder 33 and would recommend it too. Slow burn rate and works well with the Lapua capacity and heavy bullets. I'm working with 250's right now in mine though. Haven't gotten close to max yet though. Still pretty mild at around 2750-2800fps with 250's.

Hornaday 285 ELD-M and H1000, about 88 grains will shoot to a mile very well out of a friends 112 in 338LM. Be sure to clean out the copper frequently to maintain accuracy.

300 grain SMKS will shoot excellent too.
