Got the bug for a carry rifle. Sold a .221fb and thinking of adding the Ruger M77 .357 mag rifle. Anybody here shooting one? Could always make it a Henry or maybe find an old Marlin.

Long time ago I used to shoot a Ruger 44 mag semi-auto carbine. I think it had a rotary magazine. It was a lot of fun.

I've often though of chambering a Savage barrel in .357 Automag. I think it just might work in a 223 action with a 308 bolt head swap. 223 actions have a shortened magazine with the extended front baffle.

Looks as Ruger made the bolt alteration on the M77. Wish it had a 10 round mag, but I buy extras for my CZ rifle and pocket them. This looks like a great little all around caliber and always ammo available on the shelf.

The 357 magnum is a fun rifle. I have an H&R single shot. It has no recoil with 38's and not much more with 357's. I shot my biggest buck Nov 6 last year, and second biggest Nov 3 this year with it, same stand, within 10 yards of the same spot.
