Is it just me or does it make sense to bid on a no reserve item early just to crank up the price. To me it would make more sense to wait until the last 24 hours at least before starting to bid. Do people really believe they will get that gun for a penny or a few bucks bidding on it early? I just don't understand.

There is always that teeny, tiny remote chance nobody else will notice it's for sale. Otherwise, wait for the last 2.4 seconds to place your bid.

GB has a 15 min rule, last bid resets the clock. I recently bid on a 223 savage LWH with 4 seconds to go, my bid was 360. The auction ended over 420$.

If you really want it, just throw out the most you're willing to bid up front and it will start low and automatically place a higher bid when someone else bids.
Then look when the auction is over and see if you got it.
I picked up a $200 item for $15 a while back.

Try intentionally misspelling stuff once in a while. sometimes things will pop up on Ebay that few actually see, at least that was the case years ago. I got a Leopold range finder once for a song that was misspelled. Nobody was watching it. A member on here tipped me off to it that did not need it.
