My new steel handgun target

Nice setup! I hope to find myself a dumptruck bed that is being sold as scrap to use for making a bunch of targets for friends and family. 10-15 cents a pound is the scrap steel price around here, though if the guy knows it is T1, he will likely hold out for more. I wonder what he will say if I ask him if it is OK if I shoot it with my 300 Ultramag before I buy i? Older beds aren't made from AR500 but T1 is fairly common and it holds up OK. All our IHMSA targets back in the 80's were made of T1.

My neighbor gave me 2 round plates of 5/8 steel that are 12 inches in diameter. He had them cut for some project that he never got around to doing. Right now, the only place I have to shoot is the Police range so I can't try them out. Maybe I'll be able to find a place this coming summer.
