I did test loads all day today what a different ball game, I shot two 5 round groups each starting with 23.5 grains cfe 223 up to 25.5 grains 68 grain Hornady HPBT. 2.250 OAL.
23.5 to 25.0 all shot sub 1 in groups 25.5 was all over the paper.
The most consist loads was 24.5 with groups at .60 and 25 at .65 The accuracy on the bulleye was better at 25.0
I think that I am going to start my work up at 24.7 and see how it goes.
And move to 300 yards.
What do you think?

Thats a vast improvement. My lyman book shows the "accuracy load" with a heavy load of varget, something to try.

Get it on and post pictures. You have to put a little swagger on!

very nice indeed, i would walk it on out and see if it holds. My 7mm RM shoots one holers at 100 and a 3.5 at 950

My Criterion 1/8 twist 223 will shoot the 53 V-Max over IMR 3031 into tiny groups at 100 yds. I am currently loading the 69 gr Lapua Scenar over a case full of Varget with good results. Never could get the CFE 223 to shoot well, but I didn't try magnum primers and that might be the reason.
