Anyone shooting the new .357 mag rifle? Looks like it would be a good carry rifle, Ruger is making one too.

What specific "new" 357 Mag rifle are you referring to?? Already plenty of excellent carry rifles out there in .357 Magnum, they're called lever-actions. Also a few pump-action options...

Marlin 1894
Winchester 1866
Winchester 1873
Winchester 1892
Henry Big Boy
Rossi R92
IMI Timberwolf (pump)
Pedersoli Lightning (pump)

Looks like I transposed the Savage 375 to 357. Been looking for a short carbine that was easy to carry in the truck and on walking trail.

The .357 mag caliber pistol load in a light carbine ought to be the ticket here, somewhere between the .221FB and the 300Blkout. I sold both of those and kept one FB barrel for the Striker, it may be on the sale board soon as it was switched to .223.
