Anyone do a .308 on an axis long action

Have a long action savage axis that I would like to do a barrel swap on to .308. Already has a .473 bolt face. Any issues with feeding and the mag length.

If you are using a factory Axis stock all you have to do is change trigger guard and use 308 magazine.

I thought all Axis actions were same length. Only the magazine and trigger guard change.

Received my new .308 barrel today. Will report back after some Range time

You shouldn't have any problem feeding the .308 from the -06 magazine. Only thing that could/would post an issue is if you were loading very short bullets (115-125gr) in which case the rear of the case could pass free of the feed lips before the bullet tip was started into the chamber. With the longer VLD style bullets that won't be an issue.
