300 WSM bolt head

Can I make a bolt head from a 300 win Mag work for the 300 WSM. I noticed the rim is a little thicker than the 300 Win Mag. will a new extractor for the 300 WSM do the trick or do I need a Savage 300 WSM bolt head.
