Hey folks, new member here, so please forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong topic.
Has anyone had better luck with certain types of ammo shot through their Savage .270? I'm an inexperienced shooter, but know that some rifles just plain shoot better with certain rounds. I've been using Win 130 gr silvertips to site in, but I just can't seem to get it consistent. Before I spend several hundred dollars on different ammo, I thought I'd check and see what the voices of experience have to say. I don't reload, so please limit to factory ammo.
Thanks in advance for helping the newbie.

Try Hornady's stuff, shoots so good just for deer hunting, I wont even reload. 3/4 of an inch for 5 shots at 100 yds., from my old 110 with a factory Muzzle brake. Wife is going elk hunting with this gun this weekend, she drew a elk tag here in KY. Using the 150 interlock load, she routinley puts 5 shots into 3-3&1/2 inch groups at 300-350 yds, off cross sticks sitting in a lawn chair on a big cardboard elk target! Pm me back for any more info/load data.

My 110 270 shoots Rem 130gr accu-bond & Hornady Light Mag 140gr BTSP's, both are deadly out to 250yds, if I shoot further than 250, I pull out a bigger gun! On a good day, I have shot groups less than .300 @ 100yds, I will have to admit the Hornady's are BAD and deadly! Your choice!

Both of my 110 E .270's shoot Federal Power Shok 130's MOA at 100 yards and a not much larger at 200.

Your probably good with any of them up to 250yds!
