View Full Version : Looking for safety for 1895 lever gun

This is the safety with the split round tail. The safety on my gun has one of the two split tails broken off. I'm guessing welding would not work due to loss of heat treatment. Short of finding a good replacement, has anyone fixed this issue by other means?

Replace the safety with a saddle ring.

Call me crazy, but I don't think that's going to work on an 1895 SAVAGE with a lever safety.
