Lever boss code : .5C ?

Hi,

maybe you can help me date my 99, per the serial number 592xx5 it should be from the 50's,

i'm trying to understand the boss code: i read .5C .

based on the information found here http://www.savage99.com/savage99_dates.htm and on this forum it would be a 1950 because of the letter C ? or is it 50 and the 0 is just misprinted?

Just as it reads, 5C which makes it a 1951 production.
