Both are Model 10 .223s. H1 (Hammer #1) is shooting 1/4 to 1/2 MOA at 200 yards with 75grain Hornady ELD-Match bullets over CFE223. That rifle has a 26 inch McGowan barrel with an 8 twist, Boyds Pro-Varmint stock and a Viper PST Gen 2 scope.

H2 is a Model 10T-SR from Cabelas and I'm in the process of pillar bedding a Boyds At-One stock to the action. Never pillar bedded a stock before so this is an interesting endeavor. I've made the pillars and have figured out how to radius the tops to match the contour of the action. Now I'm doing some epoxy work in the stock to strengthen a couple of areas with real thin wood around the action bolts. I've made sleeves to fit inside the pillars that will be removed after the pillars are set to make sure that the bolts do not touch the sides of the pillars.

Hobby Lobby had the clay that is needed to fill in the holes in the action that I don't want epoxy to get into and I have a can of clear shoe polish to use as my release agent. I'm going to use JB Weld as the epoxy to bed the action.

I'm hoping that H2 will shoot as good as H1 when I'm done with it.

More update on H2. Pillars are bedded into the stock. The front part of the action is epoxy bedded from the magazine well to the recoil lug and it looks great. Tomorrow I'm going to Dremel out stock material around the rear pillar and finish off setting the action into epoxy at that end. After it all sets up for a couple of days to cure real good I can't wait to get it to the range.

Looks like I did something right. This is a three shot group at 100 yards with Sierra 55gr Spitzer Boat Tails. Before the stock work I could not hit a six inch plate at 200 yards. WooHoo.

Thanks! It was my first attempt to bed an action. There is hope.

H2 finally comes through! 73g ELD-Match over 22.5 gr of AR-Comp. SD was 13, MV is 2862. First four rounds made a .286 group, fifth round opened it up to .354.
I'm going to like this powder. Nosler 60 gr Ballistic tips over 24 gr of AR-Comp gave a SD of 3.4 for five rounds, avg MV was 3132. That was with CCI BR-4 primers.
My plan is to play with both of those loads, seating depth, neck tension, different primers, to see if I can get consistent bugholes. I need bugholes out to 200 yards to shoot chucks next spring. Rockchucks are pretty small at 500 yards so there is no room for error.
