I'm pretty sure the actions and barrels are all the same. I bought a MKII BV that shoots .95 MOA at 100 yards with Eley Target and CCI Green Tag. I wouldn't recommend the BV now because I don't like the stock. If I had to do it all over again I'd but the cheapest one one possible and replace the stock and trigger. I'm in the process of replacing my stock with a Boyd's walnut. I'm also doing a trigger job. I'm bedding the rifle now which is a PITA.
I ended up buying a Savage MK II BTVSS . I hope it shoots good. Any ammo recommendations would be appreciated

Mine shoots the best with Eley Target and CCI Green Tag. CCI Standard Velocity shot well if I remember correctly. I try to keep them subsonic because I shoot further than 100 yard.

Every rifle is different, but for good ammo that won't cost a fortune, try SK Standard Plus.

I’m using CCI standard for break in and quite frankly it’s pretty darn accurate, dime size is the norm at 25y but then again I don’t bench rest I shoot mostly offhand and sitting for hunting and plinking.

I'd step up to the new B-Series if it were me.
I bought the savage MK II BTVSS and absolutely love it. It shoots nickel and dine groups with either CCI standard velocity and Federal auto match. I am going to try Wolf and S&K just to try it.
