How many of you have installed a Rifle Basics Savage ll trigger and adjusted as low as you can?
Did you have any problems with it and how safe is it?
Seeing as how SSS no longer does his Evolution trigger I need an alternative for a BR build.
Thanks

I have installed the Sav 2 on a couple of rifles. I am no trigger expert and was slightly disappointed with the results. I could get it to about 4-5 oz., but would have an occasional unintentional discharge when closing the bolt. I could not live with that. At 6-8 oz. it was pretty reliable. The experience of others may not be the same as I had.

I have 3 all set on the middle pin hole and tripping around 14 oz. Plenty light for me and all works as it should.

Are they worth it on a hunting riffle?

No. Sav-2 is way over-engineered for hunting, in my opinion. Too many levers and gizmos and too much work to install. They are really good triggers, mind you. Just not necessary for hunting, and I can't see what they offer over the Sav-1 when set above 1.5 pounds.

Rifle Basix Sav-1 is a good hunting trigger adj down to about 2 pounds. Plenty crisp. No creep, adj for overtravel. Can't see any point in anything more for hunting.

How. Does the sag 1 compare to old stock pre accutrigger?

Didn't you ask about triggers for a BR build.

Yes I did. Reread the replies and you will see it went right off to Sav 1 and/or hunting triggers. No where near what I asked.

Sorry, as well. I got derailed not paying attention to who was asking what.

I also have 4-5 Sav-2's. Not sure how low they are set, but less than a pound and happy with them. I have tried the rest, I think they are the best avail for Savage.

I did not mean to derail your thread. Sorry, hope you find your answer, but I am no help.
