So I have looked and looked. It does not seem that there is a bull barreled MKII available other than the long stainless thumbhole stock version. Is that true?
One of my boys is a lefty and was hoping to get him a new rifle that matched mine and his sisters. Was really hoping to get a fv-sr version that is quite a bit less than what is currently offered.
are we out of luck?
or
Have they been made in the past? And then I could look at the used market.
thanks

Us lefty's don't get near the selection of models the righties do. As you've discovered, the only heavy barreled MKII option is the SS thumbhole model. Might want to wait a year anyway as Savage should be adding some more LH options to the newer B-series line next year.

Bummer but thanks for the reply.
was really hoping to
get a mkii as the b series is “different” than our other rimfires...

Yes it's different, but the B-Series has a lot of very good improvements built into it.

- Better synthetic stock (LH wood stocked version should be coming next year)
- Coned breech for better extraction
- Threaded barrel w/nut
- 10rd rotary magazine
- Easy to disassemble bolt (has rear BAS like 110's)

I believe you could special order one from Savage.
